Opening ceremonies for the Sha’ab School

The first phase of the Sha’ab School construction in Gaalkacyo has been completed. The initial plan was to include three floors in the building; however, only two were completed due to lack of funding. Additions that are planned to be added onto the building in the near future include a teacher’s lounge, the director’s office and the completion of a third floor.

The opening ceremonies for the Sha’ab School and the 2009-2010 school year will take place in early August 2009. We are inviting all of the individuals who have helped in the construction of the Sha’ab school to partake in these ceremonies. The committee members of Himilo International Civic Development Agency would like to thank all of the individuals who have helped in the construction of the school.
