Help Build an Orphanage Centre in Somalia
Human Concern International (HCI) continues to support the development of orphanage centers and water wells in Somalia. With an influx of internally displaced people consisting of mainly orphans, HCI and implementing partner Himilo International Civic Development Agency has made the construction of a central orphanage center a priority in the region.
With access to clean drinking water for themselves and their livestock, the recently built well by HCI has revived hope amongst many in the area. In addition to the well, the construction of the school building, dormitories, dining hall and community garden have been completed. We are now focusing our efforts on raising funds for the completion of the masjid building, perimeter security fence and classroom furniture.
The funding of the Mudug water well and Mudug Orphanage Center would not be possible without our faithful and generous donors across Canada. HCI is also immensely grateful to Maryam & Safiya's Clean Water for Kids Fundraiser, The University of Toronto's MSA and our implementing partner HIMILO International Civic Development Agency.
